We will be rolling it out on our own websites and on those we host at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commonscloud.coop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CommonsCloud<\/a> to enhance their security.<\/h3>\n<p>WordPress is vulnerable to scrapers and bots, code primarily managed by multinationals that power artificial intelligence (AI) farms, which visit web servers and carry out processes that hog the computer&#8217;s resources, to the point where websites become completely overwhelmed. Since 2025, we have seen a notable increase in this activity and periodically (when a wave of scraping arrives) we have to restart the web services very often.<\/p>\n<p>Anubis is an open-source programme that acts as a defence barrier for web administrators. It is completely transparent to users and does not require any changes to the website.
